Sadık Özgür Heritage Museum is Open to Visitors in DivriğiSadık Özgür Anı Evi

Built in the Divriği district of Sivas in memory of Sadık Özgür, the founder of Kale Kilit and doyen of the lock industry, Sadık Özgür Memorial House was opened with a ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Kale Endüstri Holding Sedat Özgür stated that Sadık Özgür never forgot about his hometown throughout his life, and his investments in Divriği exceeded 30 million Turkish lira. He said, “However, it was we who were destined to make the most meaningful investment after his passing. We aim for the young people of Divriği who visit Sadık Özgür Memorial House to be inspired and encouraged by his journey full of success, and hope that many other Sadık Özgürs will be born in our country.”

 

Opened after an authentic restoration of the internal structure of a historic mansion from the late 19th and early 20th century in the Divriği district of Sivas, Sadık Özgür Memorial Househonors the memory of Kale Kilit’s founder, Sadık Özgür. The memorial house presents fragments of Sadık Özgür’s life including his personal belongings, study room, awards, and his collection including antique locks and doorknobs. It also contains a screening room for special events. Curated by Ali Rıza İşipek, the memorial house also features a wax statue of Sadık Özgür and various oil paintings by the famous Azerbaijani painter Refik Aziz.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Kale Endüstri Holding Sedat Özgürstated that Sadık Özgür never forgot about his hometown throughout his life, and his investments in Divriği exceeded 30 million Turkish lira. With this point of view, my father, Sadık Özgür, made very significant investments, especially for the social development of his own region. My father realized various major projects in Divriği, ranging from bringing drinking water to his own village to providing plumbing to houses, building roads and bridges, building a telephone exchange, building various schools, dormitories and hospitals, granting scholarships to successful students and building looms to promote women's employment. Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health Sadık Özgür Divriği State Hospital, which is one his most valuable contributions to the region in the field of health, is a Smart Hospital benefiting from all technological innovations. The hospital serves Sivas and its surrounding districts with a capacity of 96 beds. However, it was we who were destined to make the most meaningful investment after his passing. We aim for the young people of Divriği who visit Sadık Özgür Memorial House to be inspired and encouraged by his journey full of success, and hope that many other Sadık Özgürs will be born in our country.”

Kale Çelik Kapı Produces Student Door DesignsKale Çelik Kapı Gençlerin Kapı Tasarımlarını Üretti

 

The winners received their awards at the design contest “The Story behind the Door,” held this year for the first time ever by Kale Çelik Kapı to support creative ideas and reward talented students who are interested in the industry. The competition received 166 applications from 91 universities all around Turkey and awarded a total of 40,000 Turkish lira. The first prize was awarded to İrem Kaydu, a student at the Department of Interior Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.


The competition, which was held for the first time and open to all university students studying architecture, interior design or industrial design, received 166 applications from 91 universities all around Turkey. In the contest, students submitted door designs with original stories to be produced and used in daily living spaces. The first prize was awarded to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Department of Interior Architecture student İrem Kaydu. The second prize was awarded to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Department of Industrial Product Design student İlker Toruk, and the third prize was awarded to Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture students Baran Aybars and Cansu Özay. In addition, seven students were given honorable mentions.

Organ Donors Make Happier Livers.

The Kale of Happiness Social Responsibility Committee, founded by the Kale Endüstri Holding employees for implementing voluntary social responsibility projects, organized an “Organ Donation” seminar.

“KALE” (FORT) of Happiness Organizes “Fits Perfect” Campaign

The KALE (FORT) of Happiness launched a new project with LÖSEV (The Foundation for Children with Leukemia). New or second-hand clothes and toys in good condition were collected for the families and relatives of children with leukemia. All clothes collected were packed by the Kale employees based on the age groups and gender. They were delivered to the General Headquarters of the Foundation to be distributed among families and siblings of children with leukemia.

Kale Endüstri Holding Runs For Nature

Kale Endüstri Holding ran in the Istanbul Marathon to support TEMA Foundation, which strives to impart nature education to children who grow far away from nature because of increasing urbanization in recent years and bring them into contact with nature. Thanks to the donations, the company supported the nature education and afforestation project of the TEMA Foundation, which focused on children.

This Heart Will Not Forget You

By always caring about social responsibility projects, Kale Endüstri Holding established itself as a pioneer in this area as well. A committee comprising Kale employees was founded to develop and implement social responsibility projects. The voluntary team of seven people named “Kale (Fort) of Happiness,” including Neylan Çolak (Human Resources Manager), Pınar Kaya (Payroll and Personnel Affairs Assistant Specialist), Selcan Sezer (Corporate Communications and Advertising Specialist), Kadriye Gülsün Oral (Kale Çelik Eşya Dealer Sales Representative), Melis Ece Kılıç (Budget Control and Reporting Assistant Specialist), Öner Öztürk (Internal Audit Manager), and Bilge Pınar Oğur (Recruitment and Organizational Development Specialist), successfully implemented its first social responsibility project.

March 8 International Women’s Day Awareness Raising Project

Kale Endüstri Holding took a step to raise awareness of violence against women within the company and among all employees on March 8 International Women’s Day. On behalf of Kale Endüstri Holding employees, a donation was made to the Purple Roof Women’s Shelter Foundation in line with the “Safety First For Women” motto.

Turkish Republic Ministry of Health Sadık Özgür Divriği State Hospital​

Lodging building having 12 apartment flats for hospital personnel and a hospital with 96 beds capacity have been constructed up on 21-decares land. Hospital and lodging building have been handed over to Ministry of Health. Sadık Özgür Divriği State Hospital is one of the most important projects that Kale Industry has realized in order to improve life quality, contribute to the humanity and for healthier Turkey. In addition to the hospital, charity campaigns and ambulance aids are also the other significant projects supporting this approach.

UNICEF Walk Into the Future, Step by Step

Kale Endüstri Holding completed the Walk Into the Future, Step by Step project in partnership with UNICEF and the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education to renovate unoccupied buildings owned by the Ministry and repurpose them into schools. This project was implemented at 20 locations in eight provinces across Turkey, where construction and repairs were carried out, along with supply of tool equipment and furniture.

A 96-bed hospital and a 12-apartment residential complex for the hospital personnel were constructed on a 21,000-square-meter land in Divriği. Sadık Özgür Divriği State Hospital is one of the major projects that Kale Endüstri Holding implemented in line with its vision to enhance the life quality of the society and contributing to the humanity. Kale Endüstri Holding also implements donation campaigns such as ambulance donations to realize this vision.

 

 

 

 

Donation to WWF

A donation was made to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) for the sustainability of their projects aimed at preserving our country’s natural resources. Together with the WWF, a 10-acre land was dedicated as the “Sadık Özgür Memorial Forest” in Divriği, Sivas.

The Sadık Özgür Bayırüstü Village Development, Education, and Culture Foundation2006-1

An eight-story building measuring 2,600 square meters was donated to the Sadık Özgür Bayırüstü Village Development, Education, and Culture Foundation. The foundation awards scholarships to 100 students annually and increases the engagement of students in life through various social and cultural activities..

 

 

 

“Yaşayan Kapılar”2006-2

An important resource was provided to the industry by publishing the “Yaşayan Kapılar,” a book that tells the story of 200 historical gates and is a historical document and archive.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kızılay Donation Campaigns2006-3

Donations were granted to the “Asya Ağlıyor” (Tears of Asia) and “Şimdi Sıra Bizde” (Now it is Our Turn) campaigns organized by the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay). Besides, a road in Sri Lanka, where houses for earthquake victims are located, has been named the “Sadık Özgür Street.”

  • An ambulance was donated to Divriği Municipality.
  • School buses for female boarders were donated to the Sivas Gazi High School.
  • School buses for students were donated to Divriği Municipality.

2001

We implemented a project entitled “How to Protect Yourself Against Burglars.” in partnership with the Burglary Department of the Izmir Provincial Security Directorate. For the project, field visits were arranged and cylinders of problematic doors were replaced along with police officers. Informative brochures were distributed, and public awareness was raised on the topic.

A Vocational High School was built in Divriği with a capacity of 600 students and a conference hall for 200 people.

1990-2010

Scholarships were awarded to 100 students annually to enable them to continue their education.

Significant contributions were made to the foundation of the Divriği Mining Vocational School affiliated with the Sivas Cumhuriyet University.

19881988-1

In Divriği, a primary school was constructed with a capacity of 600 students and a junior high school with a capacity of 500 students.

  • A total of 20 successful students were selected from the villages of the Divriği district of Sivas were educated as boarding students at Behçet Kemal High School and Erenköy Girls High School in Istanbul.
  • Drinking water was brought from 10 km away and delivered to the people of Bayırüstü village in Divriği.
  • The construction of roads between Divriği and Samancı Deresi villages was completed.
  • The construction of the Divriği-Samancı Deresi Bridge was completed.
